Does GLM apply phase correction for the loudspeakers?
browse
- Our monitors are already time-domain optimized out of the factory (i.e. they have a constant delay and symmetric impulse responses down low bass frequencies), so there's no need to equalize the time domain within GLM.
- We compensate the room response using minimum phase filters. This avoids adding too much latency and pre-ringing problems when applying room equalization.
- We compensate the times of flight for audio effectively, so you have a time-aligned system in the room with symmetric impulse responses.
- If you're using a subwoofer with bass management, GLM will align the phase for the subwoofer. This is done in a 2nd step after the regular calibration and is part of the setup process.
