You can upgrade the firmware of all SAM systems by using Firmware Update feature in the GLM software. Firmware updates are published together with the new GLM versions. It is not feasible to upgrade the electronics of older products or to convert 8000-series analog models to SAM. The main reason is the differences in the internal mechanics and component designs.
