I have my 8330a's connected digitally from the optical out of an RME Digiface.
I have tried 2 different kinds of Optical to AES converter but while both mostly work fine, they also both suffer from the same issue...
Every time I power GML off (from top right corner of the main GLM group page) and then turn it back on again, both the monitors LEDs flash red, and to get them to turn green again, I need to either power the optical/AES converters off-and-on again or unplug the optical cable from the converter and plug it back in.
I thought this might be an issue specific to my original converter so bought another (different make/model) but it behaves exactly the same.
Any idea what might be causing this or recommendations for a fix please? While not a massive issue it's a little annoying to have to unplug things and plug them back in every morning. Thanks.

Hi Steve! We're sorry, but this is caused by a bug in 5.2.1 ... We're already working on a fix. You could work with 5.2.0 in the meantime. If you're on Mac, it's downloadable under MyGenelec now. If you need the PC version, just let me know! All the best!
Hi Marcel, I'm fairly new to GLM and currently have 5.2.1 installed. While I haven't noticed any issues (which could be from lack of familiarity), is it your recommendation to install 5.2 and recalibrate? Or just wait for the version update?
Thanks,
Chris
Hi Chris! No, it's only recommended to go back to 5.2.0 if you're experiencing online/offline issues with your system or blinking red LEDs although playback just works.
Greetings!
Marcel
Thanks Marcel :)
where can I find a download link to the 5.2.1 version. can't seem to find it anywhere ?
Hi Marco, we removed it for Mac until we have the needed fix available. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Marcel
Hi Marcel Schechter - It has been quite a long time since this GLM bug was discovered/announced, can you please provide an update as to the expected timing for a fix? Also, with the prolonged time to this, would Genelec consider giving some Report Credits for our patience? Thanks
Hi Jake! I've created a support ticket for you! Greetings!
