I've recently purchased a 7.1.4 system second hand from a colleague who is upgrading his system. LCR and all four surrounds are 8340A SAMs, heights are 8330A SAMs, and there are two 7360A subwoofers. My colleague used analog ins with bass management from his Avid MTRX. I will be using AES/EBU inputs. It appears I will need to purchase a 9301B AES/EBU expander to be able to use one sub for LFE and one for bass managment, but I'm not sure how to connect the two subs.
Is the "Subwoofer Link" port for the LFE or the bass management sub?
Also, does it matter in which order I connect the other monitors to the 9301B outputs? Or do I need to follow channel order established in Pro Tools and HD I/O outputs?

Hi Ian!
The subwoofer link output of the 9301B carries the summed bass managed content on one channel of the AES/EBU output, the LFE on the other. The routing can be done as needed.
Greetings!
Thank you for the prompt response, Marcel. Regarding the 9301B, that is a very convenient solution. Will I need to enable the "A/B" switch on the subs or is A/B AES frame all managed within GML?
Best,
Ian
Sorry, Ian ... back from vacation ... you should only use the GLM settings for the subs. The DIP switches are only active in stand alone mode ... (Stored DIP switch set to MANUAL). Greetings!
Alright, Marcel, I hope this will be the last question. In standard Dolby Atmos configuration, LFE is the fourth channel output, so I would I set LFE Channel to LFE in 2B? I guess I'm still a little confused as to how bass management and LFE are routed FROM the 9301B and how that corresponds to the outputs from Pro Tools INTO the 9301B.
Hi Ian! Yes, this would be the standard configuration. But you can select in GLM in the 9301B-panel which channel carries the LFE. So you're absolutely flexible ... ;-) Genelec subwoofers (set to "used with 9301B") then just know on which "channel" of the subwoofer link signal bass managed content and LFE content are. You can reach out at any time under support@genelec.com the moment you have the system and need further support! Greetings!
