Hi,
I'm new to Genelec and SAM. I recently installed a pair of 8330's at my desk as well as a pair of 8320's in a sound insulated practice room, right next to my desk (Studiobricks). Since I only bought one calibration kit I've moved the network adapter when calibrating. I also need vastly different calibrations in the two spaces, and the speakers aren't the same either.
If I were to connect all the speakers together to go into the GLM network adapter, would it be possible to assign the different speaker pairs to different groups/room presets and calibrate them accordingly? Or would all the speakers then share the same calibration presets? It would be nice to be able to control the two speaker pairs via GLM without moving the adapter.
Thanks

Hi Olav! No, you can easily have different so-called "Groups" in GLM which can contain different setups and calibration settings. Just drag all speakers to a new layout (File > New). Then click on the speaker icons with CMD/STRG hold to set the group status to OFF/ON. Create your first group with two speakers and calibrate it. After that, go to the Group Preset Menu and select Duplicate. You will get a second group. Then select Group Preset > Edit, and set the other two speakers to ON (original ones to OFF). Calibrate this group. Then you can easily switch groups.
But maybe this solution is easier: It's of course also possible to store the settings permanently to the speakers in one room - and then use the GLM kit in the other room. This is possible using the Group Preset Menu > Store to Loudspeakers dialogue. Greetings!
