Does Digi-in work automatically in Gelelec 8240A, or does it have to be turned on separately? If so, how does it work?

Hei Heikki! By default the 8240 uses the digital input the moment a clocking signal is detected. For standalone mode you should save "Automatic" for "Input Selection" under "Store Settings to Loudspeakers". All the best!
